Used for
Continue to upgrade the website with current and critical information about horses health to educate horse owners and riders. Hold three FREE educational events to help horse owners and trainers learn the most humane techniques and best information available for horse care, horse training and riding.
Benefits
The horses benefit from well trained owners, caretakers and trainers. Horse owners, caretaker and horse trainers can access the website and the trainings for free. We believe that the more a person knows about horses, the more they have positive hands-on experiences, the less likely they are to hurt or harm the horse.
Proposal Description
The grant money will be used to add interactive elements to the educational website. It will offer resources and links as well as access to a number of instructional videos, veterinarian advice and best practices from farriers, and other professionals. The grant money will also allow us to hold educational events free to the public so that we might reach horse owners, horse caretakers and professionals with the best and most humane practices. In addition, the grant money will allow us to continue to write articles and place them in the media about humane practices. We feel education is one of the best ways to stop abuse. The more we can communicate best practices and non violent methods of training, humane care and healthy care for horses, the less horses will be abused.
